Typical applications

The VCN Series is specified where office and general electronic equipment needs surge suppression and noise filtering in a metal housing at a lower joule rating than the BN Series.

Frequently asked questions

Why do these units have two model numbers?
They are one product written two ways. The shorter number is the model number, and the longer one is how the unit appears in our ETL and Intertek files. Quote either one and we will know which unit you mean.
What is the difference between the VCN and BN series?
The BN Series is the higher rated of the two: 1490 joules against 650, and 80 DBS of EMI/RFI filtering against 55. The BN Series also carries a five stage suppression circuit. Both are aluminum housed and both are ETL certified to UL 1449 Third Edition.
Which edition of UL 1449 are these certified to?
The Third Edition, certified by Intertek.
