This section documents the standards our power distribution equipment is built and listed to, one page per standard. Each states what the standard requires and what we do in practice.
Our federal registration identifiers, including the UEI and CAGE code, are in supplier identification.
Buy American Act (BAA)
The Buy American Act requires that products purchased by U.S. federal agencies be manufactured in the United States from components that are predominantly domestic in origin.

Trade Agreements Act (TAA)
The Trade Agreements Act allows U.S. federal agencies to buy products that were made in, or substantially transformed in, the United States or a designated country, and it waives the Buy American statute for those products.
We certify Trade Agreements Act compliance on federal orders where the configuration qualifies.
UL 1363 (Relocatable Power Taps)
UL 1363 is the product safety standard for relocatable power taps, the cord-connected multi-outlet strips used to extend a single receptacle to several, and a listing to it certifies that a product has been tested against that standard by a recognized laboratory.

We publish ETL listings to UL 1363 for nine series: HG Series Special Application Outlet Units, Industrial Grade Outlet Units, Industrial Grade Outlet Units with GFCI Plugs, Low Profile Outlet Units, Low Profile Outlet Units with GFCI Plugs, Rack Mount Units, Rack Mount Units with GFCI Plugs, Slim Line Series, and Slim Line Series with GFCI Plugs.

UL 1449 (Surge Protective Devices)
UL 1449 is the product safety standard for surge protective devices, the components and assemblies that limit transient overvoltages on a power circuit, and it classifies them by where in an installation they may be connected.
We publish an ETL certification to UL 1449, Third Edition, for four series: Hybrid Surge and Noise Suppressors; Rack Mount Units with Surge Protection; Surge and Noise Suppressors, Metal; and Z Series Hybrid Surge and Noise Suppressors.

UL 60950 (Information Technology Equipment)
Standard superseded December 2020
UL 60950 was the product safety standard for information technology equipment, covering construction, insulation, and protection against electric shock, fire, and mechanical hazard. UL withdrew it as an active standard in December 2020 and replaced it with UL 62368-1 for new certifications.
We publish UL 60950 listings for six series: IEC International Outlet Strips, Industrial Grade Outlet Units, Large Channel Outlet Units, Low Profile Outlet Units, Rack Mount Units, and Slim Line Series. The design of those units is unchanged.

150 models across 15 series link a dimensional drawing from the part number table on their series page. Spec sheets, cut sheets and listing certificates are on request: send the part number through the quote form.
Lighting
For emergency and exit lighting, our affiliated companies are Encore Lighting and Carpenter Emergency Lighting.
Warranty
Products we manufacture are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for two years from the date of purchase. The full terms, what is excluded, and how to make a claim are published in full.
