This policy describes how Brooks Custom Power Solutions, of Hamilton Township, New Jersey, handles personal information collected through this website. It applies to this website only. It does not cover information exchanged by telephone, by email outside the forms on this website, or in the course of a purchase order.

What is collected

Brooks collects two categories of information. The first is contact details provided by a visitor who uses one of the two forms on this website: a name and an email address in both cases, and optionally a company name and a telephone number. The remaining fields on those forms describe the equipment or the inquiry rather than the person.

The second is technical information about the visit, principally a record of which pages were requested and when. This is recorded for every visitor, as on any website, and is not connected to the contents of a form.

Cookies and tracking

Brooks sets no cookies on this website and stores nothing in a visitor's browser. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel and no advertising code. Every font, image, style and script is served from this website rather than from a third party, so no third party receives a record of a visit.

How it is used

Contact details are used to respond to the inquiry they were submitted with: to prepare a quotation, to clarify a configuration, and to send the response. Technical information is used to operate and secure the website. Brooks does not use either for advertising and does not build profiles of visitors.

Who it is shared with

Brooks does not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties for their own use. Information is shared only with the service providers that operate this website and deliver its email, and only so far as they need it to do that. Those providers act on Brooks' instructions and are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes. Brooks may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Updates from Brooks

Brooks may send occasional updates if you ask to receive them. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask to be removed at any time.

Legal basis. Brooks uses contact details submitted through this website to reply to the enquiry, which is necessary to take steps the enquirer has asked for before a possible contract. Brooks sends its own updates only to people who have agreed to receive them, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Your rights. Anyone whose information Brooks holds may ask for a copy of it, for its correction or deletion, for its processing to be restricted, to object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Requests go to sales@brookspower.com.

International transfers. This website is operated with Cloudflare, and its email is delivered by Resend. Both are United States companies, so information submitted through this website is processed in the United States, under the safeguards those providers offer for transfers from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.

Retention. We keep an inquiry that does not become an order for as long as we need it to respond and follow up with you, and delete it at any time on request.

Complaints. Anyone in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom may complain to the data protection supervisory authority where they live or work.

How long it is kept

A form submission is not stored on this website. There is no database behind the forms and no copy is retained; the inquiry is transmitted to Brooks as an email and is held thereafter as any other email is. We keep an inquiry that does not become an order for as long as we need it to respond and follow up with you. You can ask us to delete it at any time at sales@brookspower.com.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted connection, and inquiries are transmitted over that connection to the Brooks sales address. Access to that address is limited to those who respond to inquiries.

Access, correction and deletion

A person who has submitted their details through this website may request a statement of what Brooks holds and where it came from, the correction of anything inaccurate, or the deletion of the information. Deletion is carried out except where Brooks is required to retain the information, for example where it forms part of the record of an order. These rights are offered to all visitors and no charge is made.

A request may be made at sales@brookspower.com. Brooks responds to the address the request is sent from.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and for those who specify equipment on their behalf. Brooks does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

A revised policy is published on this page, with the date of revision. A material change is described rather than only dated. Please direct all questions about this policy, or about the information Brooks holds, to sales@brookspower.com.
