About Brooks Custom Power Solutions
Brooks Custom Power Solutions is one of the few U.S. manufacturers still building surge protection and power distribution to customer specification, in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. Outlet strips, rack mount PDUs, and surge suppression have been our business for nearly 40 years.
What we build
Every unit is built to order. Outlet count, spacing, cord length, plug type, and housing are specified per order rather than chosen from a fixed catalog. The configurations published on this site are a starting point rather than the limit of what we can build.
We build to a drawing or to a description of what the equipment has to do. If a unit needs to be different from anything on this site, we build it to order.
What we do in-house
We manufacture at Hamilton Township, New Jersey: metal fabrication, wiring, assembly, testing, packing, and shipping. Some subassembly components are brought in.
Every unit is tested at full voltage before it ships. Hospital grade units are also hipot and ground bond tested.
In most cases we can identify a product from its part number and build it again, and customer files may include drawings.
We build to order, including configurations the catalog does not list: USB A and USB C charging, a cord color specified by the customer, and housings in colors beyond the standard three.

Brooks sells to federal agencies, defense and aerospace contractors, technology and industrial manufacturers, distributors, OEM integrators, broadcasters, commercial marine operators, and healthcare organizations. Brooks can also build for transportation applications, including trains and aircraft.
Brooks supplies national laboratories, including NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Defense and aerospace contractors Brooks supplies include Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, L3Harris Technologies, Thales, Howmet Aerospace, and SpaceX.
In technology and data centers, Brooks supplies Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Intel, and HP.
Brooks supplies industrial manufacturers, including Honeywell, Applied Materials, Ingersoll Rand, and Stanley Black & Decker.
Brooks' distributor customers include W.W. Grainger, Wesco, and CDW.
Brooks' OEM and integrator customers include Great Lakes Case & Cabinet, ICI Scientific, Lab Builders, Lab Furniture, Datamation, Computer Comforts, Phoenix/General Woodworking, and RW Hatfield/Proline.
In broadcast, professional AV and venues, Brooks supplies CBS, Comcast, and McCormick Place.
In commercial marine, Brooks supplies Tote Services.
Brooks supplies healthcare providers and payers, including VA hospitals, ProMedica, and Highmark.
