Compliance: BAA

Typical applications

The Z Series is specified where equipment needs surge suppression and noise filtering with over-current protection on both sides of the line, and where the cord will meet oil or water.

Frequently asked questions

What does the (2P) in the model number mean?
Dual pole. The circuit breaker interrupts both sides of the line rather than one, and it is fitted to every unit in this series, which is why the suffix is on every model number rather than marking a variant.
How does the Z Series compare with the BN and VCN series?
By surge rating. BN is 1490 joules, the Z Series is 1000, and VCN is 650. The Z Series is the only one of the three with a dual pole breaker and an oil and water resistant cord.
Do these protect a telephone or coaxial line?
No. The Z Series protects the AC line. Fax, modem, and coaxial protection are not fitted to these units.
