Typical applications

The BN Series is specified where equipment needs both surge suppression and noise filtering on the same AC feed: telecommunications equipment, computers and electronic instrumentation.

Frequently asked questions

Why do these units have two model numbers?
They are one product written two ways. The shorter number is the model number, and the longer one is how the unit appears in our ETL and Intertek files. Quote either one and we will know which unit you mean.
Do these protect a telephone or coaxial line?
No. The BN Series protects the AC line. Fax, modem, and coaxial protection are not fitted to these units.
What is the difference between the BN and VCN series?
The BN Series is the higher rated of the two: 1490 joules against 650, and 80 DBS of EMI/RFI filtering against 55. Both are aluminum housed and both are ETL certified to UL 1449 Third Edition.
